What is Public Access TV?
Public access television, is a non-commercial forum through which individuals can express their opinions, perspectives, and information to the community members through the medium of cable television.
What it means to you?
Public Access Television means that you, your club, or civic organization, after completing digital video training, can be producing non-commercial, informational, educational, or entertainment television programming for the Channel 3 audiences.
Who is my audience?
The communities of St. Louis, Ithaca, Alma, Pine River Township, Arcada Township, The Villages of Breckenridge, Shepherd, The Charter Township of Union, The Cities of Mount Pleasant, Clare and Harrison.
Can Anyone Produce a show?
To qualify You must be at least 12 years of age or older, a resident of any member community listed above, and a charter communications subscriber.
Do we have to produce our show in-house?
No, you can send in your program as long as you are a resident of any of the above member communities. Your show must be on either DVD-R or VHS and a request form must be completed along with the producer's name and consent in order to have the program cablecast.
Are there any requirements for shows?
Your show CANNOT contain:
-Commercial Content
-Slander or Libel
-Obscene Material
